The topic is "Developing Savvy End-Users"…

Desktop machines, tablets, and Smart phones have evolved to complicate IT support and give rise to a savvier end-user.  The lines between personal and professional technologies have blurred beyond recognition.  Unfortunately, being a savvy end-user does not translate to being a self-supporting end-user.  This presentation will highlight technologies and procedures that build on the savvy nature of today's end-user in an attempt to achieve a relatively self-reliant IT equipment and services customer.  Join us for a discussion of what new technologies will become crucial to the IT support mission and which will fade into obscurity.

Our speaker will be Dr. Daniel Norris, the founder and President of Blackrobin Research, a new Columbia, SC based system development and consulting firm dedicated to assisting healthcare organizations with smooth and effective IT implementation projects.  Dr. Norris has nearly 30 years of information technology experience, which he passionately shares with University of South Carolina undergraduates as a visiting Assistant Professor.
