The keynote topic is “Security: Why Hackers Love End Users”

This session will cover the balance of access and ease of use with security concerns. How do hackers exploit weaknesses through information gained during reconnaissance? We’ll discuss the real work risk of social engineering, poor physical security, and attacks via end users as well as IT staff. There will be demonstrations of network scanning, exploiting file shares, and password hashes showing how hackers gain access, maintain access and cover their tracks. Lastly, we look at what signs to look for that you may have been hacked and ways to educate end users to protect your corporate network.

Our speaker will be Chad Todd, founder and owner of Training Concepts which he began in January of 2002. Mr. Todd holds numerous technical certifications from vendors such as Microsoft and EC-Council with specializations in Active Directory, Exchange, and network security. He is also a published author of four technical books with Syngress Publishers and has written over three dozen articles for Redmond Magazine, formerly MCP Magazine. Mr. Todd is a well-known and sought after consultant in the South Carolina market for Exchange migration and security audit projects.
